Samsung to compete Android and Symbian by launch of their new open mobile platform-Bada

Samsung mobile is in news for their high end touchscreen devices quite a while now. Now the company aims to put power of the smartphone in the hands of mid-range buyers through their new mobile phone platform called "bada". Bada in korean mens ocean. Thus this with this OS Samsung aims to open many opportunities for mid to high range buyers.

The launch of Bada can be really alarming for Nokia's Symbian foundation-which is currently supplied with most of the smartphones. Moreover, it can also become a major threat to Google' s budding mobile platform Android. Windows Mobile is losing it's marketshare to iPhone and Blackberry, there is no doubt that it's not much preferred platform these days.

Samsung lauched it on 10th November, and also announced that it aims to fully replace current devices with Symbian and WiMo with their new OS by 2012(You might also have heard about Samsung's sky-high ambition of overtaking Nokia by 2012!).

Samsung is basically master in the hardware aspects when it comes to designing a phone and built-in chips etc. etc. but Samsung currently doesn't has a platform user can rely on. So the company has to rely on Symbian foundation and Windows Mobile for OS supply. But with this step, Samsung will become independent in terms of operating interface thus can make their presence strong with unique identity among iPhones and Blackberries. Moreover, users will surely attract to this new platform if company can attract some mighty developers first! And if everything will go right then there is no doubt Samsung can set a new standard in the industry. Samsung mobile's marketshare is already rising and their own OS can give a boost to it and can even make it the world's No.1 mobile phone manufacturer!

Coming back to Bada now.Samsung aims to produce it's first Bada device by 2010. Currently Samsung hasn't declared much about Bada. But as Samsung says, it will make current smartphone experiences available to all. Hope we will come to know more features of Bada in December, when Samsung aims to release Bada SDK. Be ready to see cut throat competition in near future in the Smartphone battlefield!
